Litigation Associate Attorney
Tressler LLP is an award-winning law firm with a strong reputation in defense litigation. They are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Chicago office, where the role involves managing various aspects of civil litigation, including drafting legal documents and collaborating with senior attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, demurrers, and motions to strike
- Communicating with clients, claims adjusters, and witnesses, providing updates and strategic input
- Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy
- Assisting in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
- Participating in depositions and court appearances
- Defending clients in civil litigation and arbitration involving personal injury, property damage, medical malpractice, construction, transportation, and product liability matters
- Attending court hearings and mediations both remotely and in-person
- Working closely with senior attorneys to prepare for mediations and settlement conferences
Skills
- Active bar license in Illinois
- 1-4 years of litigation and/or civil litigation experience in either state or federal court
- Experience with trial preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
