As an Onboarding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in helping new hires smoothly transition into their new roles and ensuring they have an engaging and successful experience from day one. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator who thrives in a remote work environment, possesses strong organizational skills, and has a passion for supporting others. Key Responsibilities:

  • * Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires remotely across various departments.
  • * Prepare and organize all onboarding materials, including welcome kits, training documentation, and company policies.
  • * Conduct virtual orientation sessions for new employees to introduce them to company culture, values, and policies.
  • * Provide personalized support to new hires, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the onboarding process.
  • * Assist with setting up new employees accounts, access to software tools, and communication systems.
  • * Coordinate with department heads to ensure new hires receive job-specific training and are well-prepared for their role.
  • * Track and report on onboarding progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • * Ensure all necessary documents and compliance forms are completed by new hires.
  • * Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging onboarding experience that reflects the companys values.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • * Proven experience in an HR or onboarding role, ideally in a remote work environment.
  • * Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage employees effectively.
  • * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • * Proficiency with onboarding software, HR management systems, and video conferencing tools.
  • * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • * High level of empathy and interpersonal skills to make new hires feel welcomed and supported.
  • * Proactive problem-solving skills and a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Experience:
  • * Minimum of 1-2 years in onboarding, HR, or related fields.
  • * Experience working remotely or managing remote teams is highly preferred.
  • * Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and remote work best practices is an advantage.
  • * Previous experience using tools like Zoom, Slack, and HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) is a plus.
  • Working Hours:
  • * Flexible working hours to accommodate various time zones across Canada.
  • * This is a full-time or part-time position, with the ability to work from home.
  • * Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required depending on the onboarding schedule.
