JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Gruskin Learning Center at Penn State Greater Allegheny is seeking part-time Peer Tutors and staff assistant. Job Duties

• Students are expected to attend training sessions; be available to facilitate virtual study groups.
• Keep all tutoring appointments, and handle problems effectively and communicate issues with Gruskin Learning Center Director.
• Keep information regarding students confidential, keep records of all tutoring sessions, complete all required paperwork and submit records of tutoring sessions on time.
• Assist with signing in students, maintaining accurate records of textbook request and loans.
• Assist with promoting learning center events and distributing fliers.

? Requirements and Qualifications

• Penn State Student with an eligible Work Study award.
• Peer tutors must be current Penn State Greater Allegheny students in at least their 2nd semester.
• Knowledgeable in their subject area.
• Must have earned at least a B, and/or be recommended by the course instructor.
