Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - Airport Operations, you'll be responsible for:
- Safely loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and efficient operations
- Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related hazards
- Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion
- Scanning and processing baggage to ensure accurate routing to customer destinations
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational goals and objectives
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. You'll be required to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, with occasional exposure to heavy lifting (up to 50-70 pounds). What You Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age and authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license and proficiency in English
- Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) and wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience in customer service, airport operations, or a related field is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in multiple languages or experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment can be an asset.
