We're seeking an experienced Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our team, answering inbound calls from medical providers, patients, and billing services to assist in explaining services and claims information.

The Role

As a Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative, you'll be working from the comfort of your own home, answering inbound calls from medical providers, patients, and billing services to assist in explaining services and claims information. You'll be working full-time hours between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Central Time Zone, Monday through Friday. With a starting wage of $18.00 per hour, you'll have the opportunity to earn up to $200 extra per month and up to 4 hours of extra Paid Time Off by hitting your monthly incentive goal.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming claim calls and log data into our proprietary medical bill review system

  • Provide explanation of benefits, services, and claims/reimbursement procedures
  • Interface with providers, patients, billing services, and insurance adjusters in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes to provide accurate and compliant information to customers

Requirements

* Must be able to train and work in a remote environment

  • No prior medical insurance experience is required, as we will train individuals who are willing to continue to learn and be developed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior customer service experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task with customer interactions and various applications
  • Possess a positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Ability to learn basic medical terminology
  • Weekday schedule flexibility

  • Quiet and professional work environment free of distractions
  • High-speed internet connection (DSL or cable modem – non-cellular – with minimum speed of 25 mbps download and 15 mbps upload)

* Experience in the medical insurance industry or a related field

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
