Responsibilities of the Retail Customer Advisor

As a Retail Customer Advisor at Arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in creating a hassle-free shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting every customer with a smile and proactively approaching them to offer support and guidance throughout their shopping experience
  • Demonstrating a genuine passion for our products and services, and showcasing your knowledge and expertise to customers
  • Upholding Arenaflex's high standards for merchandise presentation, ensuring that our stores are always visually appealing and well-organized
  • Promoting Arenaflex's programs and initiatives, such as our loyalty program and seasonal promotions, to drive sales and engagement
  • Creating an inclusive store environment where every customer feels welcome, safe, and respected
  • Supporting your colleagues across all departments to ensure seamless execution of our business objectives
  • Adapting to changing business needs and taking on additional tasks as required to support the team and the store

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Retail Customer Advisor at Arenaflex, you'll need:

  • Prior experience in retail sales, cashier duties, or customer-centric positions (although we're happy to train the right candidate)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • A passion for sports and fitness, and a desire to help others achieve their goals
  • Physical stamina to stand for up to 4 hours without breaks, and to occasionally lift items weighing 15-35 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
  • Proficiency in using technology, including point-of-sale systems and mobile devices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a cash handling environment and maintain accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a retail environment, particularly in the sporting goods or fitness industry
  • Knowledge of Arenaflex's products and services
  • Certification in customer service or sales
  • Experience working with technology, including point-of-sale systems and mobile devices
