Below is the job description for your review Please let me know if you would be interested and please attach your updated resume at kishore.m Role: QA Automation Engineer Location: Louisville, KY (Remote) Hire Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and execute automated API and backend service tests for an enterprise Next Best Action (NBA) platform. This role ensures high release quality, system stability, and reliability across complex backend workflows that support decisioning, integration, and action activation. The engineer will build regression, contract, and integration testing suites, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with backend and integration engineers to validate decision logic and end-to-end workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, automation-focused, and experienced in testing distributed, API-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated API and backend service tests using frameworks such as pytest, Postman/Newman, REST-assured, or equivalent. Build and maintain comprehensive regression, contract, and integration test suites for NBA backend workflows. Validate backend services, integrations, and decision logic for correctness, performance, and reliability. Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates and prevent regressions. Collaborate with backend and integration engineers to ensure seamless system operation and release readiness. Identify, log, and track defects; work with engineering teams to drive resolution and root-cause analysis. Continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks, and testing strategies. Support release validation and post-release monitoring as needed. Document test plans, automation strategies, and test results. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. 8 years of experience in QA automation or backend/API testing. 5 years of experience with API test automation frameworks (pytest, Postman, REST-assured, or equivalent). 3 years of experience in testing RESTful services and backend workflows. 5 years of experience in regression, contract, and integration testing concepts. 3 years of experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 3 years of experience with version control systems and agile development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing decisioning, personalization, or recommendation platforms. Familiarity with Node.js and/or Python based backend services. Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent). Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, insurance, or financial services. Knowledge of performance or reliability testing tools. Familiarity with containerized or cloud-native environments.
