Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and skilled customer service representatives to join our team in supporting one of our newest customers, a non-profit organization that processes scholarships for students attending K-12 private schools. As a customer service representative, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, connecting with families and schools that participate in the scholarship program, and providing exceptional support to ensure that all questions are answered, and callers are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application, and funding status, ensuring that all questions are answered, and callers are satisfied.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, remaining empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult or tense situations.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to address the varied needs of a variety of callers, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all customer inquiries are addressed, and that customers receive the support they need.

Essential Qualifications

  • At least one year of customer service or call center experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service experiences.
  • English proficiency, with a language assessment required as part of the hiring process.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience.
  • The ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult or tense situations.
  • Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and the ability to multitask, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills, with comfort using PC and internet navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a remote or home-based environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or in the education sector, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing these industries.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology platforms.
