Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Specimen Accessioner/Data Entry Specialist to join our team in St. Paul, MN. As a Specimen Accessioner/Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and sorting specimens, collecting samples, and submitting them for testing. You will also perform accurate data entry of the samples and provide lab support. This is a contractual role with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is Tuesday to Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, and Saturday, 7:15 am to 3:45 pm.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $18-$22/hour, based on experience, expertise, and education.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive and sort specimens

  • Collect samples and submit them for testing
  • Provide lab support
  • Perform accurate data entry of the samples
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED is required

  • Experience in healthcare is a must
  • Data entry experience is a must

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED

  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare
  • 1-2 years of data entry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare
  • 2-3 years of data entry experience
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
  • Certification in a related field (e.g. phlebotomy, medical assisting)

* Strong data entry skills with high accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
