Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative/Social Worker at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service and support to high-needs individuals, often in emergency situations or requiring assistance with navigating county and state public assistance programs. You will be responsible for handling inbound calls and correspondence, resolving customer inquiries, and collaborating with various staff members to ensure seamless operations. If you are a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, and have 1-3 years of experience in social work or homecare administration, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with high-needs In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) recipients, often in emergency situations or requiring assistance with navigating county and state public assistance programs, such as IHSS and Medi-Cal.

  • Handle inbound calls and correspondence in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Resolve all aspects of customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely responses.
  • Enter accurate information into the database.
  • Collaborate with various staff members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Perform light administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and envelope packing.
  • Handle email and phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Qualifications

* Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, such as Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling.

  • 1-3 years of experience in social work or homecare administration.
  • Previous Call Center or Customer Service experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • 40 wpm typing speed.
  • Background screen after acceptance of job offer.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with high-needs populations.

  • Knowledge of county and state public assistance programs, such as IHSS and Medi-Cal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience with database management and record-keeping.
