Key Responsibilities
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions
- Ensuring solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and departmental standards
- Managing timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
- Acting as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and IT groups
- Participating in system and acceptance testing
- Extent of work may vary depending on the team project
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management principles, theories, and strategies
- Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm
- Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
- Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement
- Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
- Openness to Agile philosophies
- Coursework or experience related to cybersecurity
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines
- Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year
- Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition
- Ability to thrive in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
- Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, experience or knowledge in the following areas would be a plus:
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions
- Familiarity with threat intelligence and incident response
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and penetration testing
