About the position Business Strategy Planning Director - Texas Commercial State Planner Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations in Texas may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The ideal candidate will reside near the Grand Prairie, TX Pulse Point location. The Business Strategy Planning Director - Texas Commercial State Planner is responsible for business unit strategic planning and customer insight work. How you will make an impact: Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future. Translates strategy into defined tactics, program/project priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality. Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives. Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems. Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment. Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities. Light travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 years of strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge preferred.
  • Prior market analysis experience preferred.
  • Prior local market sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Local commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and well organized preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail skills preferred.
