ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST
Caltrans District 3 is seeking an Associate Accounting Analyst to join their Fiscal Services team. The role involves performing complex fiscal duties related to government cost funds and maintaining financial records for the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Responsibilities
- Performing the more complex professional fiscal duties related to government cost funds, including the more complex funds accounts and records for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW)
- Maintaining fiscal records
- Preparing all types of accounts and records of financial transactions
- Preparation of the yearend reports
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and government accounting standards
- Familiarity with federal funds management, including Federal Trust Fund accounts and reporting requirements
- Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) including financial modeling, and data analysis tools
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external agencies, and federal stakeholders
- Adaptability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
