Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and resilient microservices to enhance customer experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to create intuitive and user-friendly functionality
- Implement best practices in unit testing, benchmarking, and performance optimization of software
- Diagnose and resolve issues in a microservices and distributed environment
- Gain a deep understanding of customer use cases and translate them into innovative solutions
- Contribute to and engage in the continuous improvement of backend services and overall system performance
- Maintain service uptime and meet established service level objectives through proactive monitoring
- Participate in and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and documentation within a hybrid work environment
Skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 1 - 2 years of experience in software development, particularly in high growth environments
- Proficient in front-end development using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience in React.js or equivalent frameworks
- Knowledge of one or more server-side programming languages (Go, C/C++, Java, Python)
- Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL) and messaging technologies (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, concurrency patterns, and multithreading concepts
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Linux environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment
