Washington, DC - Investment Management Junior/Midlevel Associates
Morgan Lewis is a leading law firm seeking two associates for its investment management practice, focusing on the regulation of retail investment advice. The successful applicants will engage with financial institutions regulatory practices, including compliance, product design, and securities examinations.
Responsibilities
- Possess one to three years of experience with regulatory matters in the financial services space (e.g., broker-dealer, investment adviser, retirement/Title I of ERISA)
- Have comparable law firm experience and/or experience working at a financial institution or regulator
- Have familiarity and demonstrated experience with the federal securities laws
- Have strong organization, drafting, communication, and analytical skills
- Have excellent academic credentials
- Be willing to engage with various aspects of financial institutions regulatory practice, including regulatory compliance, product design and implementation, and securities examinations and enforcement
- Be an active member of the bar in the state of the District of Columbia bar
