Underwriting Associate

The Underwriting Associate role involves evaluating risks for various insurance policies and participating in training and projects to support the underwriting process.
Responsibilities
- Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business
- Perform independent verification of insured's operations
- Review and process change requests on in-force policies
- Evaluate in-force policies at renewal
- Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives, and processes
- Participate in projects as assigned
Skills
- Entry Level and Experienced Welcome to Apply
- Ability to evaluate risks for Workers' Compensation, Business owners', Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies for small businesses
- Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for various lines of business
- Perform independent verification of insured's operations
- Review and process change requests on in-force policies
- Evaluate in-force policies at renewal
- Participate in Underwriting Training for new products, directives, and processes
- Participate in projects as assigned
- Hybrid position requiring both in-office and remote work
- Ability to work the shift available from 8AM-4:30PM CST
