Job Overview

The Data Entry Operator will play a vital role in entering information with a high degree of speed and accuracy, inputting large amounts of data into our customer information system and other software. This position requires excellent judgment, independent thinking, and personal initiative. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain utility accounts with precision and attention to detail
  • Verify account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Prepare, distribute, and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare files for mass customer communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Assist with mailing billing statements and other notices generated in-house
  • Scan or retain documents, maintaining organized and secure records
  • Perform monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
  • Enter data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to support business insights
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Strong computer skills, typing, and accuracy, with the ability to pass skills testing
  • 10-key skills, with the ability to pass skills testing

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • An Associate's degree in Business Administration, Data Entry, or related fields
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Advanced computer skills, with experience in data entry software and systems
