Assistant Vice President, Data Analytics

Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm, and they are seeking an Assistant Vice President for Data Analytics. The role involves developing analytical frameworks, collaborating with teams to analyze financial data, and creating business intelligence dashboards to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical and reporting frameworks
• Create and deliver recurring management reporting and deepdive analysis
• Collaborate with product and strategy teams
• Design and develop data models
• Analyze financial data sets to discover underlying correlations and trends
• Create new customer segments to drive business initiatives
• Identify and track Key Performance Indicators
• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards
• Present findings and results to key stakeholders
• Conduct continuous review to streamline reporting and analytic portfolio
• Develop center of excellence and best practices for business reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with data governance partners to maintain strong risk controls and governance

Skills

• Requires a Master's in Analytics, Informatics, Data Science, or a related field
• One (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year as a Specialist Revenue Management, Assistant Manager, or a related occupation
• One (1) year of experience with data analysis using programming languages including SQL, Python, and VBA
• Dashboarding, reporting, and visual analytics using business intelligence tool including Tableau and QlikView
• Applying revenue management principles to drive revenue
• Database principles for designing, curating, and wrangling data in environments including SQL server and datalakes
• Crafting a narrative from data and analysis to deliver concise messaging for business leadership
• Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Leveraging statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics to develop solutions for business problems
• Utilizing cloud-based technologies and platforms
• Analyzing client survey data including Net promotor score to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
