[Remote] Energy Engineer I

The Energy Engineer will support energy efficiency programs through calculations, measurement, verification, and technical design, ensuring client program success through project oversight and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Calculate energy savings using engineering principles such as physics, mechanics, electrical, thermodynamics, mathematics, and statistics
• Participate in energy audits to identify energy efficiency improvement opportunities
• Prepare technical reports
• Support development of measure characteristics for program planning and business development with technical oversight
• Understand building energy end uses and industrial process energy impacts
• Support analysis of energy efficiency projects using various tools and software
• Prioritize safety in all tasks and actions

Skills

• BS Engineering degree
• 0-3+ years of experience
• Candidates must be located in Michigan
• FE/EIT preferred
• Knowledge of energy modeling principles, data logging and analytics, programming, or related skills as defined by the position
