Job Overview

In this critical role, you will function as the primary point of contact for carriers and customers during after-hours operations, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to maintain efficient workflow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking all active shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate status updates. Your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in transit, escalating as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track all active shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate status updates (typically 1pm to 10pm WFH after training)
  • Booking/Posting next day freight and any recoveries needed
  • Ensuring to keep up with Customer distro communications
  • Serve as the main point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers during after-hours operations
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in transit, escalating as needed
  • Update internal systems with accurate, real-time shipment details and status changes for our customers
  • Communicate professionally with customers to provide timely updates and solutions
  • Collaborate with the day operations team to ensure a seamless transition and accurate handoff of information
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication, updates, and issue resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with blithequark policies, safety standards, and customer requirements

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is a plus, but we will train you regardless
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a demanding environment
  • Requires perfect attendance due to great dependence on this role
  • Ability to learn industry-specific software
  • Able to work after-hours and adapt to changing priorities
