About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers daily and providing them with fast and friendly service. You will be responsible for greeting customers, running the register, making purchase suggestions, and working with our food program. You will also be expected to maintain our high standards for store appearance and work with a fun, energetic team to accomplish daily tasks around the store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide them with exceptional customer service
  • Run the register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Make purchase suggestions to customers and promote our products
  • Work with our food program and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain our high standards for store appearance and work with the team to accomplish daily tasks
  • Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance and be punctual for your shifts

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet
  • Basic math skills and the ability to process transactions accurately
  • The ability to work as part of a team and accomplish daily goals
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Motivation to advance in your career and a willingness to learn and have fun

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, it would be beneficial if you have:

  • Retail and customer service experience
  • Sales associate or cashiering experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and come up with great ideas to solve problems

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours
  • Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
  • Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
  • Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
  • Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands, which requires eye-hand coordination, and may require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs
