Job Responsibilities
As a Staff Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading data science initiatives that drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Source Identification: Identify and extract relevant data sources to support business decisions, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure data quality.
- Problem Formulation: Analyze business problems and develop data-driven solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analytical Modeling: Develop and deploy machine learning models to drive business outcomes, leveraging techniques such as regression, clustering, and decision trees.
- Model Deployment & Scaling: Collaborate with MLOps teams to deploy models in production, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Code Development & Testing: Write high-quality code to develop and test data science solutions, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Applied Business Acumen: Translate business requirements into data science solutions, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Model Assessment & Validation: Evaluate model performance and provide recommendations for improvement, ensuring that models meet business requirements.
- Data Visualization and Storytelling: Develop compelling data visualizations and stories to communicate insights to stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong background in data science, machine learning, and programming.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
