Primary Responsibilities:
- Present clinical findings and literature before National Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee
- Oversee pharmacy projects from inception to completion
- Provide responses to drug information requests
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Act as a knowledge resource for others with less experience
- Broad-based and comprehensive knowledge is critical to success in this role. You'll need to be comfortable making recommendations on behalf of a highly diverse patient population. In addition, you'll need to be well-versed in product formularies. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted pharmacist licensure
- 3+ years of experience working as a clinical pharmacist or 1+ years in a Pharmacy Residency Program with managed care and/or drug information experiences
- Experience assessing and critically appraising clinical trials, evaluating comparative effectiveness evidence
- Computer proficiency at the intermediate level and experience with MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Willing or the ability to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Residency program
- Additional certifications in any areas of specialty (e.g., pharmacotherapy, oncology, cardiology, ambulatory care, HIV, pain management, psychiatry, multiple sclerosis)
- Experience working on or with a Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee
- Experience writing and presenting monographs and class reviews
