Accountant

This is a remote position.

• 35 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 9AM to 4PM Guelph City, Canada
• With a 30-minute paid break

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax preparation and filing strategies
• Provide expert tax optimization recommendations to maximize business benefits
• Oversee and review bookkeeping operations when needed
• Ensure full compliance with Canadian tax regulations and industry requirements
• Review and validate work completed by bookkeeping staff
• Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to support business decisions
• Handle complex accounting scenarios specific to the transportation industry
• Develop tax planning strategies for ongoing financial optimization

• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Must be experienced with Canadian tax system and regulations
• Strong knowledge of tax optimization strategies and planning
• Ability to handle both high-level accounting and detailed bookkeeping tasks
• Experience with trucking or transportation industry taxation preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strategic thinking ability with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in Eastern Time zone hours
