Responsibilities

As an Airport Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting passengers with their baggage pick-up and resolving issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged items
  • Utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Handling customer interactions with poise, professionalism, and a smile, providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, leveraging your skills and experience to drive results
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items of up to 70 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must:

  • Be a local resident (in-state) with a valid driver's license
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and up to a 10-year background check
  • Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
  • Demonstrate physical ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs and be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the aviation industry
  • Familiarity with computer software and systems used in luggage tracking and processing
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-centric approach

Schedule

As a remote Airport Customer Service Agent, you will work a variety of shifts, including:

  • 4-hour shifts, with flexibility to work day, evening, or morning shifts
  • Weekends as needed, with a focus on providing excellent customer service during peak travel periods
