Web Developer - PHP - Remote or Hybrid

Web Developer (In-Person, Hybrid, or Remote with preference to work East Coast hours) Job Type: Full-time Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000

Summary

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Web Developer to create custom functionality for client websites as part of our continued growth. The ideal candidate will have strong object-oriented programming (OOP) skills in PHP, experience with MySQL database integration, and familiarity with MVC architecture. Comfort with multiple programming languages and frameworks is a plus. We value developers who combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills and thrive in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug web and e-commerce applications
• Implement updates and enhancements to existing websites and apps
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs
• Collaborate with design teams to merge functionality and aesthetics
• Communicate with clients on project-related matters
• Assist with production scheduling and workload planning
• Complete assigned programming projects efficiently and accurately

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of hands-on development experience
• Advanced proficiency in PHP and MySQL
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (beyond frameworks)
• Experience with MVC architecture and REST API integrations
• Familiarity with open-source frameworks (CakePHP, WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Drupal, Laravel, etc.)
• Knowledge of JavaScript libraries/frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, jQuery, etc.)
• Ability to adapt to custom CMS frameworks
• Linux command-line proficiency
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with version control tools (GIT, Subversion)
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, .NET, AWS, Cloudflare Workers is a plus
