Job Summary

As a Medical Insurance Customer Service Advisor at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to our patients. You'll be responsible for communicating with new patients about the billing process, proactively reaching out to patients with billing policy changes, and addressing patient concerns in a timely and professional manner. You'll also be the primary point of contact for patients regarding financial assistance programs, and will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and data management.

Key Responsibilities

* Communicate with new patients about the billing process and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Proactively reach out to patients with billing policy changes and provide clear explanations and guidance
  • Address patient concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner, escalating to leadership as necessary
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding financial assistance programs, including statements, insurance changes, and charges
  • Manage, update, and communicate all aspects of the Financial Assistance Program (FAP) to appropriate departments
  • Communicate and obtain patient information changes for database maintenance and updates
  • Input data into the company computer platform to keep customer records up-to-date
  • Share knowledge gained with other staff members and work as a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Interact with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner, recognizing patients' rights and responsibilities

Qualification Requirements

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent required; some college preferred with collections, verification, and/or analysis experience

  • Customer service call center experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong customer service acumen and effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and work independently
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn the use of Lynx and CPR+
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications
