About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Director of Teaching and Learning – Student Support to join our team. As a key member of our educational leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving student success and academic achievement. Key Responsibilities

As the Associate Director of Teaching and Learning – Student Support, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing research-based instructional practices to drive student success and academic achievement
  • Providing leadership and support to teachers and staff to enhance teaching and learning practices
  • Collaborating with the Student Assistance Team to identify and support students who require additional assistance
  • Ensuring compliance with 504 processes and procedures to provide equal access to education for all students
  • Developing and managing grant budgets to secure funding for educational initiatives and programs
  • Building relationships with students, parents, District personnel, and community members to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment
  • Analyzing data and research to inform instructional practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to teachers and staff to enhance their instructional practices and support student learning
  • Developing and implementing professional development programs to enhance teacher capacity and support student success

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) Administrative License (Level 3B) or be eligible to obtain one
  • Five years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting
  • Strong knowledge of current research-based instructional practices and the ability to apply them in a practical setting
  • Experience with Student Assistance Team processes and 504 processes and compliance
  • Building-level administrative experience or district-level leadership experience (specialist or coordinator)
  • Strong organization, communication, written, oral, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications, including grant management and budgeting tools

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience in grant writing and management, including the development of grant budgets and proposals
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation methodologies, including data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teachers and staff to enhance their instructional practices
  • Strong understanding of educational technology and its application in the classroom

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • A salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
