Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical methods to drive business decisions and inform content strategy. You will work closely with our content team to analyze client behavior, identify trends, and develop new metrics to measure content performance. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization will enable you to communicate complex insights to stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply advanced analytical methods (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions
- Investigate client behavior (e.g., viewing patterns, engagement metrics) to identify untapped client needs and undiscovered content opportunities
- Develop predictive models to forecast content engagement and inform acquisition strategies
- Collaborate with the content team to advance our content launch and episode release methodology
- Test and optimize marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention
- Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both strategic and operational direction
- Provide specialized analytical support to partners to drive business growth
- Effectively communicate insights and recommendations through compelling data storytelling across the organization
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on statistical modeling and data visualization
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R or Python programming languages
- Experience with statistical analysis and AI procedures, including decision trees, regression, clustering, and more
- Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity to solve complex problems
- Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working in the entertainment industry or a related field
- Familiarity with media and entertainment trends and technologies
Skills and Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex insights to stakeholders
- Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python programming languages
