Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ECE LBD Teacher to join our team at Doss High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a high-quality program of instruction to students with Learning Behavior Disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities
As an ECE LBD Teacher at Doss High School, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, organizing, and delivering a high-quality program of instruction to students with Learning Behavior Disorders
- Monitoring, evaluating, and communicating student progress to parents and other stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student progress and behavior
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Learning Behavior Disorders
- Collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment
- Providing guidance and support to students with Learning Behavior Disorders to help them achieve their academic and personal goals
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid Kentucky teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a Learning Behavior Disorder (LBD) endorsement
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with Learning Behavior Disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and other educators
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, including students with autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and other disabilities
- Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and technologies for teaching students with Learning Behavior Disorders
- Experience with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with the Kentucky Department of Education's special education regulations and policies
