Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ECE LBD Teacher to join our team at Doss High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a high-quality program of instruction to students with Learning Behavior Disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an ECE LBD Teacher at Doss High School, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, and delivering a high-quality program of instruction to students with Learning Behavior Disorders
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and communicating student progress to parents and other stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of student progress and behavior
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Learning Behavior Disorders
  • Collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment
  • Providing guidance and support to students with Learning Behavior Disorders to help them achieve their academic and personal goals
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A valid Kentucky teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a Learning Behavior Disorder (LBD) endorsement
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with Learning Behavior Disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and other educators
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including students with autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and other disabilities
  • Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and technologies for teaching students with Learning Behavior Disorders
  • Experience with data-driven instruction and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with the Kentucky Department of Education's special education regulations and policies
