Job Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
  • Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans
  • Working collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Being responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Being goal-oriented and maintaining professionalism in all aspects of your work
  • Arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
  • Have experience working with children in a 1:1 setting for at least 1 year
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Be willing and able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Be able to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
  • Be able to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
