Job Summary

As an Area Manager at blithequark, you'll be responsible for leading a team of hourly workforce and ensuring that customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. You'll work closely with various support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet business objectives. Your primary goal will be to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve exceptional performance and customer satisfaction

  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure seamless operations
  • Collaborate with support teams to develop plans that meet business objectives and drive growth
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to perform tasks safely and efficiently
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, working in an environment with variable noise levels and temperatures
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs) to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, operations, or a related field
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business results
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable noise levels and temperatures
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a warehouse or delivery environment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and customer delivery promises
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
