Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Call Center Representative – Patient Enrollment and Data Entry Specialist. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a strong skillset in patient enrollment, data entry, and customer service. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for processing new patient enrollment, handling patient medication requests, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Walgreens' solution information section techniques and rules to process new patient enrollment by entering information into the proper system.
  • Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Investigate to acquire missing medication data, and decipher clinical shorthand (SIG codes).
  • Settle all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Handle correspondence to patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients on a case-by-case basis.
  • Settle Outsider Oddballs by surveying, gathering data, making redresses, and resubmitting for handling as per individual arrangement prerequisites.
  • Provide support to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those at different locations.
  • Identify and convey issues to senior-level staff as proper.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or communications).
  • Basic level computer skills, including starting and closing a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing reports, or accessing data online.
  • Basic web search skills, including opening a program, writing in URLs in the right area, using a web search engine, bookmarking a website, exploring using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and designing reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a strong candidate for this role:

  • At least one year of pharmacy experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing reports.
  • Familiarity with Spanish and English.
