Job Description

As a Mathnasium Math Instructor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their math goals. Our instructors work closely with students to create customized learning plans, assist with homework completion, and provide test prep services. We are looking for experienced math teachers/tutors who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach math concepts to students in grades K-12 using our proprietary curriculum and teaching methods

• Assist students with homework completion and provide test prep services
• Develop and implement customized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in math education

Requirements:

* Math proficiency up to Algebra is required; proficiency through Geometry and Calculus is preferred

• Exceptional score on Mathnasium's Math Literacy exam (material from 2nd grade and up)
• Availability for at least 2 weekday shifts (afternoons, 3pm-7pm)
• Clear record on a state and national background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for math education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of students

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with students of diverse ages and skill levels

• Familiarity with Mathnasium's curriculum and teaching methods
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
• Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus)
