Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide exceptional telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers, addressing a range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that every caller has an excellent experience, reflecting our commitment to customer-centric care.

Key Requirements: You must reside within 50 miles of Richmond, VA, and be able to commute to our Richmond office when necessary due to prolonged technical issues. High-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable is required, as Wi-Fi is not permitted for this role. blithequark provides the necessary equipment and comprehensive training to ensure your success.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from members and providers, responding to inquiries about benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Provide accurate and timely information, ensuring that callers receive the support they need in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, contributing to the team's overall success.
  • Work effectively from home, demonstrating self-sufficiency and the ability to manage your workload independently.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with members and providers.
  • Capacity to work from home and prove self-sufficiency.
  • Must be able to commute to the Richmond, VA office when required due to technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare.
