They are currently seeking a Mid-Level Engineering Technician to join their field operations team — a hands-on role involving extensive travel to customer sites across the U.S.

Position Overview

The Mid-Level Engineering Technician will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical systems and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to work independently in dynamic environments, and flexibility to travel frequently for on-site work.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who enjoys working in the field, solving technical challenges, and ensuring the reliable performance of complex engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems at client sites.
  • Perform inspections, calibrations, and system diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and field repairs as needed.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to execute installation and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Document work performed, prepare reports, and communicate updates with internal teams.
  • Support remote troubleshooting and customer training when required.
  • Travel up to 75–90% of the time across U.S. client locations (expenses covered).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in field engineering, system maintenance, or equipment installation.
  • Proficiency with mechanical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, sensors, or control systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and procedures (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement/calibration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively (air and ground).
  • U.S. work authorization required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in industrial automation, energy systems, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems, data acquisition, or networked control systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical wiring, cabling, and control panel assembly.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP, or technical safety credentials (a plus).
