About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with customers who need help with everything from finding the perfect pet supplies to resolving issues with their orders. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two conversations are ever the same. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to resolve their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution.
  • Operate with empathy, kindness, and understanding, using active listening skills to resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Collaborate with teammates, managers, and other stakeholders across the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) - demonstrated through a written assessment.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure, navigating multiple systems and tools while maintaining a conversation with customers.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including data entry and rapid navigation through systems and the internet.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, including shifting schedules and working overtime as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the pet industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technology, including CRM systems and chat platforms.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.

Technical Requirements

  • A dedicated workspace that's free from distractions and background noise.
  • A reliable, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10 Mbps+ upload speed).
  • A computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam will be provided by blithequark.
  • A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify.
