The Ideal Candidate: A blithequark Retention Specialist

We're looking for a self-starter, problem-solver, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retention Specialist. As a Retention Specialist, you'll be the face of blithequark, interacting with customers, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service. If you're energized by solving complex business problems, making high-judgment decisions, and working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

The Role: Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences

As a Retention Specialist at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting and engaging with customers over the phone, chat, email, and social media to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Managing multiple customer interaction channels efficiently, multitasking to find information while communicating with customers.
  • Proactively identifying solutions to anticipated questions and providing best-in-class service experiences.
  • Building long-term relationships with customers while problem-solving and turning potentially negative experiences into positive interactions.
  • Maintaining key metrics such as CSAT, customer retention, daily customer interactions, and response time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, chat, email, and social media.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide detailed product information, order status, tracking information, and other relevant details to customers.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and other customer requests.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience.

Requirements: The Skills and Qualities We're Looking For

To succeed as a Retention Specialist at blithequark, you'll need:

  • An associate degree or higher.
  • 2+ years of professional experience working with computer and web-based tools.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service/support or a role that requires strong writing skills.
  • Grit and the ability to overcome obstacles (previous startup experience is a plus).
  • Top-notch oral and written communication skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Open availability, including weekends and key holidays.
  • Comfort with working from home and being a self-starter.
  • Strong proficiency in handling customer support responsibilities over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with customer service software such as Shopify, Zendesk, or Gorgient.
  • Previous experience working in a call center or remote environment.
