Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in creating a collaborative and fun learning environment that fosters critical thinking and creativity.
  • Assist in developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.

  • Encourage students to take ownership of their learning, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Teacher Assistant at Chesterbrook Academy, you'll need:

  • A BA or BS degree from an accredited or approved college or university.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to inspiring students to reach their full potential.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with educators to achieve common goals.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students who may have diverse learning needs.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:

  • Experience working in a educational setting, either as a teacher or teacher assistant.
  • Knowledge of STEAM education principles and practices.

  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
