The Role: IT Technical Support Specialist

As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to various lines of business, resort leadership, and team members. You will work closely with the IT manager and other support teams to resolve technical issues, maintain technological equipment, and drive resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and/or support all resort communication technologies, including two-way radios, mobile phones, cast phones, guest phones, pagers, PDAs, tablets, lobby display boards, convention display boards, WIFI, IPTV, and more.
• Provide technical support for all resort Point of Sale systems, including NCR terminals, receipt printers, shipping printers, cash drawers, bump screens, bump control, bump panels, scanners, KDAs, PDAs, and more.
• Assist and/or support all call groups and call routing processes, maintaining the resort's master directories for all phones, radios, mobile phones, resort extensions, call class capabilities, and emergency resource locators.
• Use call accounting application to generate call accounting reports and billing statements for special events and/or groups.
• Perform technology room inspections for designated rooms, verifying accurate functionality and appearance of guest room technologies.
• Troubleshoot and repair technical issues, calling out issues to respective support teams and/or vendors as needed.
• Assist leadership with resort technical support requests, developing accurate guidelines, inventory reporting, and providing site and facility access to internal and external partners.
• Complete all required trainings, development connections, and performance connections on or by respective due dates.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of related experience in IT technical support or a similar field.
• Demonstrated ability to work with little to no supervision and make sound decisions.
• Proven ability to communicate high-level decisions to appropriate leadership.
• Knowledge of multiple systems, applications, and hardware.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, behind and/or under furniture or equipment, indoors and outdoors.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to use ladders up to 12 ft in height.
• Able to stand for long periods or walk to distant locations and traverse up and down stairways.
• Available to work various hours, extended hours, overnight, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• 2-year college degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related experience in IT technical support or a similar field.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent.
