Job Summary

The Burlington Hotel in Sandown is looking for waiters/waitresses to join us for our busy summer season.

The ideal applicants should be presentable, reliable and be able to work week days, weekends, split shifts and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcome.
• Take accurate food orders, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and utensils throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that arise during service.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dining room setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in bartending or catering can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A friendly attitude with a genuine desire to help others enjoy their dining experience.

Together with a good hourly rate, you will also be entitled to join our very generous tips system following a successful probationary period.

All candidates must have own transport or live locally due to some early morning shifts.
