About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Personal Lines/Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our policyholders and prospects by answering their inquiries, resolving issues, and offering solutions. If you possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills and have a good understanding of insurance products and services, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries from policyholders and prospects in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about insurance products, coverage, and policies to policyholders and prospects.
  • Process policy changes, renewals, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
  • Investigate and resolve policyholder complaints, billing issues, and claims inquiries in a fair and timely manner.
  • Assist policyholders in filing claims and provide guidance on claim procedures.
  • Handle escalated customer service issues and collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and update policyholder information as required.
  • Promote additional insurance products and services to policyholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bilingual skills considered a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and services.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
