Job Description: Social Media and Customer Service Associate

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to drive our online presence and customer service excellence. As a Social Media and Customer Service Associate, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our brand image and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management:
    • Assist in curating and scheduling content for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
    • Monitor social media trends, comments, and messages, responding promptly and professionally
    • Collaborate with the social media manager to develop creative campaigns and content calendars
    • Analyze social media performance metrics and compile data for reports
  • Customer Service Support:
    • Respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns across multiple channels (email, chat, social media)
    • Address and resolve customer issues, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
    • Escalate complex customer inquiries to relevant teams and maintain a positive brand image
    • Manage customer reviews and ratings, encouraging positive feedback and addressing negative comments professionally
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales) to align social media efforts with business goals
    • Share customer insights and feedback with relevant departments to drive product improvements and service enhancements
    • Assist in compiling and organizing data for regular social media and customer service reports

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Prior experience or internship in social media management and customer service (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic tone
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage social media content schedules and customer interactions
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their unique features and audience preferences
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles and the ability to handle customer inquiries with patience and professionalism
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • A creative mindset with an interest in staying informed about social media trends
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools and content creation platforms (advantageous)
