Job Summary

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. This role is ideal for individuals who reside in Texas and are passionate about delivering compassionate, genuine care to patients and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revifying benefits
  • Assist patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Provide superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, ensuring the timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations
  • Demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers, providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $28.45 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
