Key Responsibilities

• Teach and tutor students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method®, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the support they need.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions, adapting your teaching approach as necessary.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, utilizing them to enhance student learning.
• Support the maintenance of a safe, professional, and welcoming learning environment that encourages students to explore and understand math concepts.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful as a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Carol Stream, you should possess:

• A passion for math and a strong desire to work with students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method® and teaching practices.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical principles and concepts.
• The ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and managing your time effectively.

• Take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
• Provide work authorization.
