Job Brief

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a full-time remote basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data entry, excellent typing skills, and a keen eye for detail. You'll be responsible for accurately transferring data from paper formats to our digital database, using a variety of tools and equipment. Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at Cleara, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Data Transfer: Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Data Entry: Type in data provided directly from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data Verification: Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Data Updates: Update existing data in our digital database, ensuring that all information is current and easily accessible.
  • Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested by clients or team members.
  • Data Preservation: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss.
  • Paperwork Organization: Sort and organize paperwork after entering data, ensuring that all documents are securely stored and easily accessible.

Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong background in data management and transfer.
  • Fast Typing Skills: Fast typing skills, with a strong preference for knowledge of the touch typing system.
  • Computer Literacy: Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Office Equipment: Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of databases and data management principles.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Great attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on data management and computer literacy.
