Emerging Business Growth Strategy and Planning Manager

Job Summary: Disney Signature Experiences champions new business development projects and growth initiatives, diversifying the Disney Experiences portfolio. Storyliving by Disney was launched in 2022. Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community is the first that was announced and will be built in the heart of the Greater Palm Springs. The Emerging Business Growth Strategy and Planning team is focused on bringing Storyliving by Disney to life, exploring new sites, evaluating partnerships, developing sales strategy, and developing other commercial opportunities to drive growth. The Emerging Business Growth Strategy & Planning Manager plays a significant role in advancing the strategy, planning and execution of the business. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to build the case for growth, defining business objectives, searching for opportunities to improve the consumer value proposition, helping to drive partnership strategy, and identifying additional revenue / OI generating opportunities for the business. You will partner with key leaders from Walt Disney Imagineering, Finance, Business Development & Product Strategy, Operations, Sales, Corporate Alliance, and Legal in all facets of business planning from the initial concept through design, delivery and beyond. This full-time salaried exempt role reports to the Director, Emerging Business Growth Strategy and Planning and is based in Celebration, FL. You Will:

• Rapidly assess new business initiatives inclusive of sales strategy and commercial opportunities to optimize Revenue and Operating Income for the business that span across sites, explore new sites or are brand extensions of Storyliving
• Partner with and influence senior internal and external (C-Suite level) executives to enhance/identify Storyliving critical initiatives and drive growth strategy
• Partner with the Emerging Business Steering Committee, Walt Disney Imagineering, Compliance and Legal to ensure clear, consistent interpretation and implementation of deal points, milestones and business processes
• Perform extensive analysis and competitive assessments on pricing, absorption, product mix, amenities, and operational decisions in support of launching and sustaining the Storyliving business
• Analyze ongoing business performance, needs, risks, opportunities and evaluate solutions to address gaps
• Lead and develop future direct report(s)
• Foster a culture of creativity, teamwork, diversity, and innovation

You Will Have:

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Business Planning, Finance, Product Development, Project Management, Legal, Marketing Strategy, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent roles
• Desire to work in a new, lean, developing business that requires independent initiative and the ability to lead effectively within a flexible, dynamic, ambiguous environment
• Real estate industry knowledge, and/or business development experience
• Deep expertise in analytical/strategic roles, product planning, strategic planning, and Disney products and services
• Proven experience as an inspirational leader
• Ability to build strategic relationships within and outside the Disney organization
• Ability to review, manage and consult on financials and detailed business agreements
• Political savvy, relationship oriented, effective team builder, and creative problem-solver
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, drive and complete tasks simultaneously and independently
• Demonstrated advanced deck building and presentation skills and a proven track record of successfully delivering presentations to executive-level audiences

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
