Principal Software Engineer
Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is transforming analytics with products like Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, and Power BI. The databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems, enabling applications across various industries. They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Azure CosmosDB for MongoDB / Azure CosmosDB for PostgreSQL team, collaborating with engineers and leaders to deliver features spanning the query engine, index structures, high availability, and storage layouts. This role requires solving hard technical problems, architecting backend systems, and taking initiative throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience in developing and operating large-scale backend services.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
