We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records and processes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: General Accounting Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial analysis and reporting. Assist Accounting Director with ad-hoc projects as needed Sales Tax Oversee sales tax filing in 20+ states. Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of sales tax accounts. Provide training and support to internal teams on sales tax compliance and processes as needed. Payroll Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and bonuses. Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings and reporting and filings Prepare monthly/annual payroll and benefits accrual journal entries Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, such as tax filings and year-end W-2s. Monthly commission account analysis and payouts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA Minimum 5 years of experience in sales tax compliance in a multi-state environment Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll accounting Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Promotional Industry Experience preferred Technical Requirements: Minimum of i3, 8GB Ram, Own Device (not shared) Minimum of 30mbps internet wired speed. Conducive and quiet WFH set up. Operations: Remote, Mon-Fri, Fixed weekend off; US – CST or EST coverage Rate: Base hourly rate
