Job Summary

In this part-time Operations Support Agent role, you will be responsible for completing defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards. You will identify anomalies as they arise and use your judgment based on rules and procedures to resolve them, escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, supporting operational administration, and ensuring the efficient execution of our logistics and transportation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards
  • Identify anomalies as they arise and use judgment based on rules and procedures to resolve them
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Support operational administration, including manifesting, reporting, and location-based customer service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including dispatch, admin & support, and service assurance, to ensure the smooth execution of logistics and transportation services
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our logistics and transportation services, including dangerous goods, cross-border road linehaul, domestic air linehaul, and road network operations

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, customer service) an asset
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Previous experience in a logistics or transportation environment, with knowledge of dangerous goods, cross-border road linehaul, domestic air linehaul, and road network operations
  • Experience with manifesting, reporting, and location-based customer service
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently
